Chuck Lane

Vice President of Learning & Development

As the Vice President of Learning and Development for BluSky, Chuck provides strategic direction and oversight of the company’s employee development initiatives. He joined BluSky in 2020 during the SRP Contractors merger where he previously served as the Director of Training and Education.

Chuck has a unique background of experience that he uses to benefit BluSky. His career was previously spent in the area of healthcare and emergency management working for both a 13,000+ employee healthcare organization across the Memphis, TN region and as a primary instructor for FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness, where he continues to be involved as a subject matter expert and facilitator for first responders across the nation. Chuck also serves as an education committee member for the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) and is co-developer of the Restoration Leadership Institute Certified Healthcare Restoration Technician (CHRT) course.

Blending his experience as an instructor, program developer, and harnessing his own passion for learning, Chuck has built a focused employee development program for BluSky. He has been with the organization through amazing growth, from a few hundred employees to one of the country’s largest national restoration firms.

Chuck grew up in Mississippi and graduated from Columbia Southern University with a MS in Organizational Leadership. He also holds multiple industry designations from the IICRC, is a Certified Learning and Development Specialist from the Academy to Innovate Human Resources, and holds the prestigious Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) designation from the International Association of Emergency Managers.  He and his wife, Elizabeth, are avid adventurers, spending their free time camping, kayaking, and hiking, often accompanied by their dogs or several of their nieces and nephews.

Chuck attributes his passion and mission for learning and development to a quote from Benjamin Franklin- “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”
