BluSky Names The Adoption Exchange as Recipient of Proceeds from 14th Annual Clays for Kids

The Adoption ExchangeBluSky announced that The Adoption Exchange will be this year’s recipient of proceeds from its 14th Annual Clays for Kids fundraiser, to be held Friday, Sept. 22, at Kiowa Creek Sporting Club, 46700 E. County Road 30, Bennett, Colorado.

As part of BluSky’s partnership with The Adoption Exchange, BluSky will also share sponsorship with Wendy’s of CBS4’s weekly news segment, Wednesday’s Child, hosted by CBS4 anchor, Britt Moreno. The segments feature Colorado kids, living in foster care, who are looking for adoptive families.

Over the past 13 years, BluSky has hosted this sporting clays tournament to benefit children’s and family-related charities, raising more than $400,000. “We chose The Adoption Exchange to be the recipient of this year’s Denver fundraiser because of the positive impact their work has had in the communities where our employees live and work,” says Kent Stemper, CEO of BluSky.

“This organization has worked tirelessly on behalf of kids in the U.S. foster care system, for more than 30 years. Their important work spares these youngsters from a dark and dangerous future by connecting children with loving families who adopt and saves society billions of dollars in social program costs — outcomes BluSky ardently supports,” added Stemper.

“BlueSky’s commitment and compassion for all children in Colorado is evident by their investment in The Adoption Exchange and supporting Wednesday’s Child on CBS4 Denver. We are grateful to BluSky for helping us end the wait for more children in foster care,” says Lauren Arnold, Executive Director of The Adoption Exchange.

BluSky’s Clays for Kids features the sport of sporting clays, which is a form of clay pigeon shooting, often described as “golf with a shotgun” because a typical course includes from 10 to 15 different shooting stations laid out over natural terrain. For information, click here.
